The Ajna Chakra, commonly known as the Third Eye Chakra, is the sixth primary energy center in the subtle body according to the yogic traditions of Sanatan Dharma. The word “Ajna” in Sanskrit means “command” or “perception,” signifying its role as the center of insight, awareness, and inner guidance. It is located between the eyebrows, slightly above the bridge of the nose, and is often associated with the mind, intellect, and intuitive perception. This chakra serves as the gateway to higher consciousness, bridging the individual mind with universal intelligence.

Symbolically, the Ajna Chakra is represented by a two-petaled indigo lotus, with each petal symbolizing dual aspects such as the sun and moon, logic and intuition, or conscious and subconscious mind.
